Sulfamethylphenazole sodium maintains effective blood concentrations for chemotherapy via slow release of free sulfonamides from protein-binding reservoirs. Sulfamethylphenazole sodium can be used in combination with antibiotics such as terramycin for the treatment of hemorrhagic septicemia in cattle. Sulfamethylphenazole sodium is applicable to research related to hemorrhagic septicemia[1][2][3].
