The cytosolic sn-Glycerol 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GPDH) consumes NADH to generate sn-Glycerol 3-phosphate biscyclohexylammonium salt from dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP). Glyceroneogenesis is an important supplier of sn-Glycerol 3-phosphate biscyclohexylammonium salt for lipid metabolism[1][2].
