R 8231 | R 8231 is a reversible inhibitor of Alkaline Phosphatase. R 8231 potently inhibits alkaline phosphatases derived from human liver, bone, kidney and spleen, while exerts weak effects on those derived from human intestine and placenta. The IC50 value of R 8231 for inhibiting bone alkaline phosphatase from adult rabbits is approximately 1 μM, whereas that for inhibiting chicken bone alkaline phosphatase is approximately 100 μM. R 8231 can be used for alkaline phosphatase histochemistry, phosphatase activity identification and bone metabolism-related studies. |
