Biological Activity: GIP (1-39) (Gastric inhibitory peptide (1-39) (porcine)) is an insulinotropic peptide that stimulats insulin secretion from rat pancreatic islets. GIP (1-39) at 100 nM was able to significantly increase intracellular Ca2+ concentration ([Ca2+]i), and capable of enhancing exocytosis[1].
