Biological Activity: Antibacterial agent 361 is an antibacterial agent as well as a membrane-permeable prodrug. Antibacterial agent 361 binds to subsite I of the linear motif binding pocket of the Escherichia coli sliding clamp, disrupts the interaction between the sliding clamp and its chaperone protein, and inhibits sliding clamp-dependent in vitro DNA replication. Antibacterial agent 361 can be used in the research of bacterial infections[1].
