Biological Activity: 1-Oleoyl-2-DHA-PC (1-Oleoyl-2-docosahexaenoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) is a 5-lipoxygenase inhibitor with an ID50 of 4.0 μM. It inhibits the conversion of arachidonic acid (HY-109590) to 5-HETE in a non-competitive manner and maintains membrane fluidity under high hydrostatic pressure through conformational disorder conferred by multiple cis double bonds. 1-Oleoyl-2-DHA-PC is used in lipoxygenase-related research and membrane biophysics studies[1][2].
