Interferon-beta is a cytokine with immunomodulatory properties, and has therapeutic potential for the treatment of ischemic stroke[1]. Interferon-beta (IFN-β) suppresses the production of IFN-γ and induces IL-10, whereas the production of IL-4 is not altered[2].
The ED50 is <0.1 ng/mL as measured in a proliferation assay using TF-1 cells.
