Dacryhainansterone is an insect ecdysteroid receptor agonist with a pIC₅₀ of 7.64 M.Dacryhainansterone binds to the insect ecdysteroid receptor and activates it in a reporter gene assay^[1].

In Vitro

Dacryhainansterone potently binds to insect ecdysteroid receptors in Sf-9 cells with an IC₅₀ of 23 nM^[1].
Dacryhainansterone (0.1 μM; 48 h following 24 h post-transfection incubation) acts as an agonist of insect ecdysteroid receptors in Sf-9 cells at a concentration of 0.1 μM^[1].
