Disperse red 167:1
Disperse red 167:1 (DR 167:1) is an azo disperse dye. Disperse red 167:1 interacts with the active site of nitroreductase, leading to the reduction of its nitro group to amine metabolites. Disperse red 167:1 is mainly used for dyeing hydrophobic fibers such as polyester, and is also applicable to dyeing research on plastics, textiles and other materials.

Disperse red 167:1 (0.2-5% (owf); 30-60 min) dyed electrospun Nylon-6 nanofibers have higher dye fixation when processed via ultrasonic-assisted batchwise dyeing (e.g., 86.0%F at 0.2% reagent concentration, 80 °C, 30 min) compared to conventional dyeing (e.g., 81.0%F at 0.2% reagent concentration, 90 °C, 60 min), with fixation decreasing as reagent concentration increases[2].
Disperse red 167:1 (1% (owf); 30-60 min) dyed electrospun Nylon-6 nanofibers exhibit good to very good color fastness to washing and hot pressing, and average light fastness, with no difference between ultrasonic-assisted (80 °C, 30 min) and conventional (90 °C, 60 min) dyeing[2].
