Endosidin1 (Prieurianin) is a Prieurianin with cleaved A and B rings. Endosidin1 is isolated from the roots of Aphanamixis polystachya. Endosidin1 inhibits superoxide anion production and Elastase release in neutrophils, with an IC50 >10 μg/mL. Endosidin1 exhibits mild cytotoxic activity against laryngeal cancer cells in vitro. Endosidin1 shows anti-inflammatory activity. Endosidin1 can be used in studies related to laryngeal cancer.\n

Description

Endosidin1 (Prieurianin) is a Prieurianin with cleaved A and B rings. Endosidin1 is isolated from the roots of Aphanamixis polystachya. Endosidin1 inhibits superoxide anion production and Elastase release in neutrophils, with an IC50 >10 μg/mL. Endosidin1 exhibits mild cytotoxic activity against laryngeal cancer cells in vitro. Endosidin1 shows anti-inflammatory activity. Endosidin1 can be used in studies related to laryngeal cancer[1].\n

In Vitro

Endosidin1 (3 days) exhibits mild cytotoxicity against HEp-2 laryngeal cancer cells with an ED50 of 16.77 μg/mL, but shows no significant cytotoxicity against Hep-G2, A549 or MCF-7 cells[1].
Endosidin1 inhibits superoxide anion production in FMLP/CB-stimulated neutrophils by 49.20%, with an IC50 >10 μg/mL[1].
Endosidin1 (10 μg/mL) inhibits elastase release from neutrophils stimulated by FMLP/CB, with an inhibition rate of 39.36% at the concentration of 10 μg/mL and an IC50 >10 μg/mL[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Cytotoxicity Assay[1]

Cell Line: human HEp-2 (laryngeal carcinoma) cells, Hep-G2 cells, A549 cells, MCF-7 cells
Concentration: 16.77 μg/mL (HEp-2 ED50); >40 μg/mL (Hep-G2, A549, MCF-7 ED50)
Incubation Time: 3 days
Result: Showed mild cytotoxic activity against HEp-2 cells, with an IC50 value of 16.77 μg/mL.
Exhibited no significant cytotoxicity against Hep-G2, A549, or MCF-7 cells (ED50 >40 μg/mL for all three cell lines).

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
