Description

Flusulfinam is a HPPD inhibitor and herbicide, with an IC50 of 0.0181 μM against Arabidopsis thaliana HPPD. Flusulfinam inhibits the catalytic activity of recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana HPPD. Flusulfinam exhibits potent herbicidal activity against barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus-galli). Flusulfinam inhibits the growth of Digitaria sanguinalis[1][2].

In Vitro

Flusulfinam (0.94-30 g a.i. ha-1) exhibits strong herbicidal activity against barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crus-galli), inducing leaf chlorosis and plant death, with a GR50 value of 3.7235 ± 0.7995 g a.i. ha-1[1].
Flusulfinam (25 mg/L) reduces the chlorophyll content in Spirodela polyrhiza[1].
Flusulfinam potently inhibits the catalytic activity of recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana HPPD in vitro, with an IC50 of 0.0181 ± 0.0021 μM, which is 16 times more potent than Mesotrione[1].
Foliar application of Flusulfinam inhibits the growth of Digitaria sanguinalis, with an EC50 of 21.91 mg/L[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Flusulfinam (exposure; 96 h) exhibits acute toxicity to zebrafish (Danio rerio) larvae, with an LC50 of 62.61 mg/L[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
