Acts upstream of or within several processes, including heterophilic cell-cell adhesion via plasma membrane cell adhesion molecules; leukocyte tethering or rolling; and positive regulation of leukocyte migration. Located in external side of plasma membrane. Is expressed in blood and liver. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in atopic dermatitis and myocardial infarction.
