Manoyl oxide
Manoyl oxide is a naturally occurring labdane-type diterpene with anticancer activity. Manoyl oxide is used in cancer-related research, such as breast cancer; it also serves as an intermediate for research related to organic synthesis.

In Vitro
Manoyl oxide (compound 2) has an IC50 value of 100 µM in HCT-116, 50 µM in MCF-7, 88 µM in MDA-MB231, and 88 µM in MDA-MB468[1].
Manoyl oxide is detected in the leaf volatile oil of Rhododendron rufum; it is also detected in the leaf volatile oil of Rhododendron przewalskii[2].
Manoyl oxide (compound A1) can serve as an intermediate, and its derivatives show no significant antiproliferative effect on KB, KB/VCR, K562, and K562/A02 tumor cell lines[3].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
