(E,E)-Farnesol
Based on 1 Customer Validation
(E,E)-Farnesol (trans,trans-Farnesol) is a quorum-sensing molecule of Candida species. (E,E)-Farnesol can inhibit the growth, metabolism and biofilm formation of various Candida species, and affect their morphology and invasiveness.

(E,E)-Farnesol (0-1 mM; 0-48 h) can inhibit the growth of most Candida species, with C. tropicalis being the most sensitive, as well as inhibit metabolism and biofilm formation[1].
(E, E)-Farnesol (50 µM; 30 days) in C. albicans ATCC 90028, long-term treatment inhibits yeast-to-hyphal transition, with the percentage of blastospores exceeding 90%[1].
