12-Methyltetradecanoic acid is an optically active ante-iso C15 branched-chain saturated fatty acid that can be found in sheep external fatty tissue and wool grease. 12-Methyltetradecanoic acid occurs as glycerides in sheep external fatty tissue. 12-Methyltetradecanoic acid makes up greater than 0.04% of total fatty acid weight in sheep external fatty tissue.
