LolCDE-IN-2 is a potent Lol protein (LolCDE) inhibitor. LolCDE-IN-2 inhibits E. coli MG1655 with a MIC of 2 μg/ml. Antibacterial activity[1].

In Vitro

The P. aeruginosa ΔlolCDE::CTX-lolCDEE. colistrain becomes more susceptible to LolCDE-IN-2 (compound 2A) when either the MexAB-OprM efflux pump is lacking or the permeability of its OM is increased by the expression of the FpvA-ΔP protein; in each case, these strains show an MIC of 16 µg/ml[1].
