MDL 72832 (hydrochloride) is a 2,3-dihydro-1,4-benzodioxane derivative and a 5-HT₁a receptor ligand with high affinity for the 5-HT₁a receptor.

MDL 72832 (hydrochloride) displays high affinity for 5-HT₁A receptors (pK_i = 9.1) and lower affinity for other tested serotonin, adrenergic, and dopaminergic receptor subtypes^[1].
