In Vitro

The natural killer group 2D (NKG2D) receptor is an activating immunoreceptor that functions to detect and eliminate stressed or compromised cells. NKG2D-mediated immunosurveillance has been proposed to be an important mechanism for the elimination of malignant cancer cells^[1].
