p-Benzenebis(propylamine)
p-Benzenebis (propylamine) is a substituted diamine polyamine analog. p-Benzenebis (propylamine) does not stimulate polyphenylalanine synthesis at 30°C, but increases polyphenylalanine synthesis activity by 3-4 folds at 45°C. p-Benzenebis (propylamine) reduces the Mg2+ requirement for maximum leucine misincorporation and increases the total amount of leucine misincorporation.

Biological Activity
p-Benzenebis (propylamine) (Compound 5) (0.1-10 mM; 60 min) shows no stimulatory effect on polyphenylalanine synthesis in gel-filtered rabbit reticulocyte lysate at 30°C, but increases the synthetic activity by 3 to 4-fold at 45°C[1].
p-Benzenebis (propylamine) (1-10 μM) exerts a type II effect on the misincorporation of leucine in gel-filtered rabbit reticulocyte lysates, reduces the optimal Mg2+ concentration, and increases the level of misincorporation by 4 to 6-fold[1].
