Description

Profluthrin is a pyrethroid insecticide. Profluthrin can be used as mothproof repellents for clothes^[1]^[2].

In Vivo

Profluthrin (26-400 mg/kg; i.p.; single dose) is metabolized and excreted in rat urine as four major metabolites, with urinary excretion amounts of CH₃-FB-Al, HOCH₂-FB-Al, and CH₃-FB-Ac proportional to absorbed profluthrin across a wide dose range, and CH₃-FB-Al representing 34-40% of administered doses as the most abundant urinary metabolite^[1].
Profluthrin induces nervous system and liver adverse effects in mammals in rats^[2].
