Description

Recombinant aprotinin is a serine protease inhibitor. Recombinant aprotinin can inhibit trypsin and related proteolytic enzymes[1].

In Vitro

This product can be used for: 1) inhibit serine protease activity in recombinant protein production; 2) cell culture, etc.
Dissolution method
Can be dissolved directly with 0.9% NaCl, and can be stored at -20°C after dissolution.
Note: Aprotinin and protease are equimolarly effective in binding. The recommended binding pH is >6.0. They will not bind at pH <3.0.

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
