Description
CD162/PSGL-1 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, Fc) is a recombinant mouse CD162 expressed in HEK 293 cells with a C-Fc tag at the C-terminus. CD162/PSGL-1 Protein plays an important role in immunity and homeostasis [1][2].
Background
PSGL-1 (P-Selectin Glycoprotein Ligand-1, designated CD162), is a type I membrane protein. PSGL-1 is expressed as a disulfide-linked homodimer with an extended mucin ectodomain composed of serine, threonine, and proline-rich decameric repeats bearing sites for potential O-glycan modification. PSGL-1 is expressed on all myeloid and lymphoid lineages including dendritic cells (DCs) and is downregulated on lymphocytes after entry into secondary lymphoid organs. Although not originally observed in megakaryocytes, PSGL-1 expression was identified in platelets with expression further increased in inflammatory settings[1][2].

Product Properties
Lyophilized powder.
Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of 20 mM PB,150 mM NaCl, pH 7.4.
<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere.
