CD21 Protein, Human (HEK293, His)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
CD21 Protein, a receptor for complement C3, Epstein-Barr virus, and HNRNPU, activates B lymphocytes and aids Epstein-Barr virus entry in microbial infection. Its engagement with these ligands highlights its vital role in immune responses and interactions, regulating B-cell activation and host defense against infections. CD21 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived CD21 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His, C-10*His labeled tag.
- Species: Human
- Source: HEK293
-
Storage:Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
Biological Activity
CD21 Protein, a receptor for complement C3, Epstein-Barr virus, and HNRNPU, activates B lymphocytes and aids Epstein-Barr virus entry in microbial infection. Its engagement with these ligands highlights its vital role in immune responses and interactions, regulating B-cell activation and host defense against infections. CD21 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived CD21 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His, C-10*His labeled tag.
CD21 protein functions as a receptor for complement C3, Epstein-Barr virus on human B-cells and T-cells, as well as for HNRNPU. It plays a crucial role in the activation of B lymphocytes and serves as a receptor for the Epstein-Barr virus during microbial infection. The engagement of CD21 with these ligands underscores its significance in mediating immune responses and interactions with both pathogens and endogenous factors, contributing to the regulation of B-cell activation and the host's defense against infections.
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human CD21, at 2 μg/mL (100 μl/well) can bind Biotinylated Human Annexin VI/ANXA6, the ED50 for this effect is 378.6 ng/mL.
