Background

This protein exerts an inhibitory effect on the biological activity of mature myostatin, while activin is unaffected. Biological Activity

Measured by its ability to inhibit trypsin cleavage of a fluorogenic peptide substrate, Mca-RPKPVE-Nval-WRK(Dnp)-NH2 (HY-P2185A) that incubate at room temperature. The IC50 is 0.969 nM.
