MFAP4 Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His)
MFAP4 is part of the microfibril-associated glycoprotein (MFAP) family and is involved in cell adhesion, cell-cell interactions, and the assembly and/or maintenance of elastic fibers. MFAP4 deficiency alleviates renal fibrosis by inhibiting NF-κB and TGF-β/Smad signaling pathways. MFAP4 is a novel biomarker for human cancer. MFAP4 Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His) is the recombinant cynomolgus-derived MFAP4 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Background
MFAP4 is part of the microfibril-associated glycoprotein (MFAP) family and is involved in cell adhesion, cell-cell interactions, and the assembly and/or maintenance of elastic fibers. MFAP4 deficiency alleviates renal fibrosis by inhibiting NF-κB and TGF-β/Smad signaling pathways. MFAP4 can promote the migration and proliferation of vascular smooth muscle and accelerate the formation of new intima. MFAP4 could also serve as a novel biomarker for the development of human cancer therapies[1][2][3].
