Description

Rotenonone is a derivative of Rotenone (HY-B1756), with a LD50 of 0.68 μg/g against larvae of Spodoptera litura[1].

In Vivo

Rotenonone (0.08-0.8 μg/g; topical; single dose) exhibits insecticidal activity against 4th-instar larvae of Spodoptera litura F.[1]

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Fourth-instar armyworm larvae (average body weight 4.95 g)[1]
Dosage: 0.8; 0.4; 0.2 and 0.08 μg/g body weight
Administration: topical; single dose
Result: Induced 55% mortality at 0.8 μg/g body weight at 120 hours post-treatment.
Induced 37% mortality at 0.4 μg/g body weight at 120 hours post-treatment.
Induced 20% mortality at 0.2 μg/g body weight at 120 hours post-treatment.
Induced 10% mortality at 0.08 μg/g body weight at 120 hours post-treatment.
Determined an LD50 of 0.68 μg/g body weight.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
