RuCl (p-cymene)[(R,R)-Ts-DPEN] (RuCl[(R,R)-Tsdpen](p-cymene)) is a Noyori-type chiral ruthenium asymmetric transfer hydrogenation catalyst. RuCl (p-cymene)[(R,R)-Ts-DPEN] is widely used in the asymmetric transfer hydrogenation and enantioselective reduction of ketones, imines and quinolines to construct specific stereoisomers with high optical purity.

Biological Activity
RuCl(p-cymene)[(R,R)-Ts-DPEN] catalyzes asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of α-aryl-α,γ-dioxo-butyric acid esters, selectively reducing only the α-carbonyl group to form chiral α-hydroxy-γ-keto-butyric acid ethyl esters with ligand-matching (R,R) configuration, key building blocks for bioactive compounds including Croomycin, Citrafungins, and other natural extracts[2].
