Ovalbumin (154-159) is a protein fragment consisting of residues 154-159 of chicken ovalbumin. Ovalbumin (154-159) is also a poorly conserved sequence (Thr-Asn-Gly-Ile-Ile-Arg) in the α-subunit of the Torpedo acetylcholine receptor, located within the α150-164 epitope region, and exhibits significant angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activity .

N-Biotinyl p-aminophenyl arsenic acid is a bifunctional reagent that can bind to both streptavidin and dithiols. N-Biotinyl p-aminophenyl arsenic acid decreases the Rbungarotoxin-binding sites in reduced Torpedo nicotinic receptors (IC50 is 10-300 nM), and protects the receptor from irreversible alkylation by bromoacetylcholine .

Galanthamine N-Oxide is an alkaloid obtained from the bulbs of Zephyranthes concolor. Galanthamine N-Oxide inhibits electric eel acetylcholinesterase (AChE) with an EC50 of 26.2 μM. Galanthamine N-Oxide is a prominent inhibitor of substrate accommodation in the active site of the Torpedo californica AChE (TcAChE), hAChE and hBChE enzymes .

BW284C51 is a highly selective Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. BW284C51 exerts non-competitive, voltage-dependent blocking effects on the Torpedo nicotinic acetylcholine receptor channel. BW284C51 impairs acetylcholine clearance to increase acetylcholine exposure, and enhances the acetylcholine-mediated expression response of melanogenesis-related genes. BW284C51 can be used in research related to Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, congenital myasthenia, schizophrenia and familial epilepsy .

Ganstigmine (CHF 2819 free base) is a potent, orally active, blood-brain barrier-permeable acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor, with an IC50 value of 65 nM against human AChE, 310 nM against human butyrylcholinesterase (BChE), and 5.12 μM against Torpedo californica AChE. Ganstigmine increases extracellular acetylcholine levels in the brain of rodents without altering the concentrations of other neurotransmitters, stimulates cholinergic transmission, and induces the release of soluble non-amyloidogenic amyloid precursor protein. Ganstigmine exhibits neuroprotective activity independent of cholinesterase inhibition, prevents neuronal death, alleviates β-amyloid-induced neurodegeneration, rescues cholinergic neuron loss, and reverses Scopolamine (HY-N0296)-induced amnesia and memory deficits. Ganstigmine shows cholinesterase inhibition-independent neuroprotective effects against growth factor deprivation and Aβ25-35 toxicity. Ganstigmine can be used in research on Alzheimer's disease, cholinergic dysfunction, and neuroprotection .
