Suc-Ala-Ala-Pro-Val-AMC-immobilized pNC biosensors detect human neutrophil elastase with the highest sensitivity (0.015 U/mL) among the tested cellulosic and nanocellulosic biosensors using the target reagent, followed by pNCC (0.125 U/mL) and pCPC (0.500 U/mL)^[2].
Suc-Ala-Ala-Pro-Val-AMC-immobilized pNC biosensors sequester the highest percentage (67%) of human neutrophil elastase from wound-like fluid among the tested cellulosic and nanocellulosic biosensors using the target reagent^[2].
Suc-Ala-Ala-Pro-Val-AMC loading is highest (88.13 μg/mg) on pNC biosensors^[2].
Suc-Ala-Ala-Pro-Val-AMC is cleaved by elastase released from human blood PMNs incubated with LDL, with higher LDL concentrations correlating with greater elastase activity^[3].
