Terrestrosin F (compound 1) (80% EtOH, 25-83% aqueous MeCN; 2 h, overnight) is a 25R-configured furostanol saponin isolated from Tribulus terrestris fruits, with confirmed structure via spectroscopic analysis (HR-FAB-MS, 1H NMR, 13C NMR) and acid/enzymatic hydrolysis, and exhibits a specific optical rotation of [α]20D -20.0° (pyridine; c 0.60)[1].
