trans-Flupentixol
trans-Flupentixol (trans-Flupenthixol) is an isomer of the orally active cis-flupenthixol (HY-184837) and Flupenthixol (HY-15856A) that modulates NMDA receptor subunits. trans-Flupentixol regulates the mRNA expression levels of NMDAR1 and NMDAR2A-D. trans-Flupentixol is used in schizophrenia-related research.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vivo
trans-Flupentixol (trans-Flupenthixol) (0.9-1.2 mg/kg per day; p.o.; continuous; 18 months) fails to alter striatal D-2 receptor number or affinity, [3H]NPA agonist binding sites, [3H]piflutixol binding, or dopamine-stimulated adenylate cyclase activity, nor does it potentiate Apomorphine (HY-12723)-induced stereotyped behavior in rats[2].
trans-Flupentixol (trans-Flupenthixol) (20-60 nmol; 10 min, intrathecal administration) does not alter baseline tail-flick and hot-plate response latencies in rats prior to Apomorphine administration[3].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
