Transtorine is a quinoline alkaloid, found from Ephedra transitoria, with antibacterial activity[1].

In Vitro

Transtorine shows growth inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter cloacae, with MIC 0.38, 0.5, and 0.45 mg/mL, respectively[1].
