Description

Tris-NTA Biotin is a biotin-labeled version of tris-NTA. Tris-NTA Biotin, as a bridge connecting His-tagged proteins with streptavidin, can reversibly label proteins and cell surfaces. Tris-NTA Biotin can be used in experiments such as protein immobilization, kinetic determination, live cell labeling, and Western blot detection[1][2].

In Vitro

Biotin-tris-NTA is immobilized on streptavidin chips to form either low-density or high-density tris-NTA surfaces, enabling the stable and reversible immobilization of His6 proteins[1].
Biotin-tris-NTA can be used to develop a non-covalent, site-specific, reversible biotinylation method for the immobilization of His-tagged proteins at the interface, solution conjugation, live cell labeling, and Western blot detection[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
