YIGSRC
YIGSRC is a laminin-mimetic peptide. YIGSRC supports endothelial cell adhesion and tube formation. YIGSRC contains a cysteine residue for chemical modification to hydrogels via thiol-ene reaction. YIGSRC can be chemically modified onto hydrogels to improve in vitro vascularization.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
YIGSRC peptide (1.25 mM; 24 h) enhances spreading and tubular structure formation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells in non-porous hydrogels, increasing the HUVEC area relative to unmodified hydrogels[1].
YIGSRC peptide (1.25 mM; 24 h) causes a minor, statistically significant increase in the area of human umbilical vein endothelial cells in microfiber network hydrogels, though the hydrogel's porous microstructure has a more dominant effect on cellular spreading[1].
