α-guaiene (72 h) exhibits antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger (MIC 55%, MFC 60%), Candida albicans ATCC 7102 (MIC 45%, MFC 50%), Microsporum gypseum ATCC 14683 (MIC 50%, MFC 60%), and Trichophyton mentagrophytes ATCC 16404 (MIC 95%, MFC 100%)^[2].
