1-Decanesulfonic acid
1-Decanesulfonic acid is an alkanesulfonate anionic surfactant that acts as a neutralizer of plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1). 1-Decanesulfonic acid binds to the hydrophobic region in the flexible linker domain of active PAI-1. 1-Decanesulfonic acid induces PAI-1 polymerization via a two-step neutralization mechanism.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
1-Decanesulfonic acid can be separated, quantified, and preconcentrated in water and seawater samples via ion chromatography with suppressed conductivity detection, with a detection limit of 0.14 μM and quantitative recovery (101%) from spiked seawater[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
