2'-Deoxytubercidin 5'-triphosphate sodium
2'-Deoxytubercidin 5'-triphosphate sodium (C7dATP sodium) is a deoxyadenosine triphosphate (dATP) analog that serves as a substrate for DNA polymerases. 2'-Deoxytubercidin 5'-triphosphate sodium eliminates Hoogsteen base-pairing capacity and weakens base-stacking interactions; it is recognized and incorporated into nascent DNA strands by DNA polymerases such as Klenow and T7; it reduces DNA electrophoresis compression artifacts; it is effectively degraded by apyrase, thereby lowering the enzyme product inhibition effect caused by dATPaS. 2'-Deoxytubercidin 5'-triphosphate sodium reduces abnormal electrophoretic mobility caused by compression of G or A residues and is used to improve the quality of DNA sequencing data.

2'-Deoxytubercidin 5'-triphosphate sodium (C7dATP) exhibits very low substrate activity toward firefly luciferase, with a relative luminescence value of 0.006% (with ATP set as 100%); it exerts only a weak inhibitory effect on apyrase activity, as its intermediate hydrolysis product c7dADP is efficiently degraded by apyrase[1].
2'-Deoxytubercidin 5'-triphosphate sodium is a fully functional and high-performance alternative to dATPaS, which supports long-read pyrosequencing on various microbial, viral, and plasmid DNA templates[1].
2'-Deoxytubercidin 5'-triphosphate sodium resolves A-related electrophoretic band compression in radiolabeled chain-termination sequencing of the 4 kbp pRK plasmid insert DNA that cannot be corrected by 7-deaza-dGTP alone[2].
2'-Deoxytubercidin 5'-triphosphate sodium eliminates band compression associated with A and improves the accuracy of automatic base calling in fluorescence sequencing[2].
