5'-Cholesteryl phosphoramidite
5'-Cholesteryl phosphoramidite is an antisense oligonucleotide conjugate targeting the p75 nerve growth factor receptor. 5'-Cholesteryl phosphoramidite downregulates the mRNA and protein levels of p75. 5'-Cholesteryl phosphoramidite enhances the cellular uptake efficiency of conjugated phosphorothioate oligonucleotides in differentiated PC12 cells.

Biological Activity
5'-Cholesteryl phosphoramidite (5 μM) conjugated to the 5'-end of a p75-targeted phosphorothioate oligonucleotide enhances cellular uptake and p75 mRNA downregulation in differentiated PC12 cells, but only induces minor p75 protein downregulation, and requires a concentration of 5 μM for efficacy[1].
