In Vitro

The antibody framework is stable, specific and adaptable, and has the ability to bind both antigens and endogenous immune receptors. Monoclonal antibodies have several derivatives, including bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and antibody fragments, and have significant effects in fields such as immunology and oncology. When designing inhibitory antibodies, considerations include identification of antigen-specific variable regions, choice of expression system, use of multispecific formats, and antibody derivatives based on fragmentation, oligomerization, or conjugation with other functional moieties[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Anti-Rat CD28 Antibody (JJ319) (4 mg/kg, 4 days prior to transplantation) prolongs graft survival in combination with donor-specific blood transfusion treatment in rat liver transplantation models[1].
Anti-Rat CD28 Antibody (JJ319) (1 mg, i.p., at day 0 and day 12) reduces disease severity in experimental autoimmune neuritis rats models[2].

Animal Model: Rat liver transplantation models[1]
Dosage: 4 mg/kg
Administration: 4 days prior to transplantation in combination with donor-specific blood transfusion treatment
Result: Induced indefinite survival (100%) at 100 days.
Animal Model: Experimental autoimmune neuritis rat models[2]
Dosage: 1 mg
Administration: Intraperitoneal injection, at day 0 and day 12
Result: Reduced experimental autoimmune neuritis severity.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
