Function
CD45RA is a splice isoform of CD45. It is not a protein encoded by an independent gene, but a CD45 variant produced by alternative splicing of the PTPRC gene to include the RA (exon A) exon. CD45RA is mainly used as a marker for naive T cells and immune cells that have not undergone antigen stimulation, and is widely used in immune cell typing, T cell senescence/differentiation studies, and immune surveillance.
