APD-209 is a sialic acid conjugate with a PEG4 polar linker and a PDA non-polar tail. APD-209 aggregates adenovirus type 37 particles, blocks the binding of viral particles to human corneal epithelial cells, and inhibits cellular entry of adenovirus type 37. APD-209 can be used for the research of epidemic keratoconjunctivitis.

Description

APD-209 is a sialic acid conjugate with a PEG4 polar linker and a PDA non-polar tail. APD-209 aggregates adenovirus type 37 particles, blocks the binding of viral particles to human corneal epithelial cells, and inhibits cellular entry of adenovirus type 37. APD-209 can be used for the research of epidemic keratoconjunctivitis[1].

In Vitro

APD-209 (Compound 8b) exerts the strongest inhibitory effect on the binding of Ad37 to human corneal epithelial (HCE) cells, with an IC50 of 0.9 μM[1].
APD-209 inhibits Ad37 infection in human corneal epithelial (HCE) cells, with an IC50 of 0.7 μM[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
