Asante potassium green-1 AM (APG-1 AM) is a cell-permeable K+-sensitive fluorescent indicator and potassium ion indicator that exhibits minimal interference from Na+ and pH at physiologically relevant intracellular levels. Asante potassium green-1 AM enables non-invasive monitoring and quantitative analysis of intracellular potassium ion concentrations (Ex/Em = 522/547 nm).

Asante potassium green-1 AM (APG-1 AM) (12 μM; 40 min at 37°C) efficiently loads into primary mouse cortical astrocytes, enabling reliable measurement of resting intracellular K+ concentration[1].
Asante potassium green-1 AM (12 μM; 40 min at 37°C) reliably detects proportional increases in intracellular K+ concentration in primary mouse cortical astrocytes[1].
Asante potassium green-1 AM (12 μM; 40 min at 37°C) detects reversible, concentration-dependent drops in intracellular K+ concentration in primary mouse cortical astrocytes in response to glutamate, with an EC50 of 11.1 μM[1].
