Biological Activity
BN82451 exhibits IC50 values of 0.08 and 0.05 µM for COX-1 and COX-2, respectively[2].
BN82451 acts via three major pathways involved in neuronal death: excitotoxicity, oxidative stress, and inflammation, and is also a mitochondrial protective agent[2].
BN82451 inhibits lipid peroxidation in rat brain microsomes in a concentration-dependent manner with an IC50 value of 0.54 µM[2].
