Bovine pituitary extract 

Bovine pituitary extract is a bovine pituitary extract that can be used as a mitogenic supplement in serum-free growth media. Bovine pituitary extract is rich in growth factors. Bovine pituitary extract not only promotes the proliferation of corneal keratinocytes and maintains their phenotype, but also exerts significant antioxidant stress protective effects on human prostate epithelial cells^[1][2].

Bovine pituitary extract (50 μg/mL; 24 h) significantly protects RWPE-1 human prostate epithelial cells against H₂O₂-induced cell death and maintains the intact structure of cell membranes and cytoplasm^[1].
Bovine pituitary extract (50 μg/mL; 6 h) significantly reduces H₂O₂-induced protein oxidation in RWPE-1 human prostate epithelial cells^[1].
Bovine pituitary extract (50 μg/mL; 6 h) inhibits H₂O₂-induced DNA fragmentation and necrosis in the human prostatic epithelial cell line RWPE-1^[1].
Bovine pituitary extract (50 μg/mL; 4 h) enhances intracellular ROS accumulation induced by H₂O₂ in RWPE-1 human prostate epithelial cells^[1].
Bovine pituitary extract (50 μg/mL; 14 d) promotes the proliferation of human corneal stromal cells and maintains their dendritic, non-fibroblastic phenotype during 14 days of primary culture^[2].
