Biological Activity: Cyclic HPMPC is a potent antiviral agent. Cyclic HPMPC can increase arterial oxygen saturation levels in lethal vaccinia virus (IHD strain)-infected mice. Cyclic HPMPC improves the outcome of congenital guinea pig cytomegalovirus (GPCMV) infection and decreases viral replication in guinea pig model[1][2].
