Biological Activity: Amizon is an orally effective antiviral and anti-inflammatory agent. Amizon inhibits influenza virus replication and restricts viral RNA synthesis. Amizon reduces the mRNA expression of COX-1, COX-2, NF-κB, TGF1β, IL-1 and IL-6, and stimulates the secretion and mRNA expression of IL-10. Amizon inhibits the oxidative activity of macrophages and possesses antioxidant and free radical-scavenging activities.
