Biological Activity: S-(3-Carboxypropyl)-L-cysteine is a Cystathionine γ-lyase (HY-E70344) (CSE) inhibitor with an IC50 of 71 μM, Ki values of 50 μM and 180 μM, and a Kd of 26 μM against human CSE. It exhibits selectivity for CSE compared to other hydrogen sulfide biosynthesizers. S-(3-Carboxypropyl)-L-cysteine is membrane permeable and inhibits transsulfurization flux in cultured cells[1].
