Geministatin B exhibits potent antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis (MIC = 0.39 µg/mL), Staphylococcus aureus (MIC = 3.1 µg/mL), and MRSA (MIC = 1.6 µg/mL)[1].
Geministatin B shows no antifungal activity against Saccharomyces cerevisiae with MIC > 200 µg/mL[1].
Geministatin B shows low cytotoxicity against mouse myeloma NS-1 cells (IC50 = 93 µM) and neonatal foreskin fibroblast cells (IC50 >190 µM)[1].
