Oxazepine
Oxazepine is an antifungal agent belonging to the class of seven-membered heterocyclic azepine derivatives. Oxazepine exerts inhibitory effects on Candida species as well as Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and exerts anti-inflammatory effects by stabilizing human erythrocyte membranes. Oxazepine can be used in research on infectious diseases.

In Vitro
Oxazepine (compound 7a) (0-200 μM; 48 h) inhibits the proliferation of Caco-2 colorectal cancer cells with an IC50 of 33.04 μM, while showing lower cytotoxicity against WISH normal cells with an IC50 of 126 μM[4].
Oxazepine upregulates TSC2, Bax, and p53 and downregulates Bcl-2 in Caco-2 colorectal cancer cells[4].
Oxazepine (48 h) inhibits the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in Caco-2 colorectal cancer cells by reducing the phosphorylation of PI3K, Akt, and mTOR[4].
Oxazepine (IC12.5-IC50; 48 h) induces dose-dependent apoptotic morphological changes in Caco-2 colorectal cancer cells[4].
Oxazepine (IC12.5-IC50; 48 h) arrests Caco-2 colorectal cancer cells in the sub-G0/G1 phase in a dose-dependent manner, reaching 34.3% at the IC50[4].
Oxazepine (48 h) induces oxidative stress in Caco-2 colorectal cancer cells by increasing MDA and decreasing GSH[4].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
