Activité biologique
AB-836 (0.0001-10 μM; 6 days) potently inhibits HBV replication in HepDE19 cells with an EC50 of 0.010 μM, acting by blocking pgRNA encapsidation without reducing viral transcript or core protein levels, and its activity is modestly reduced (3-fold) in the presence of 40% human serum[2].
AB-836 inhibits multiple markers of HBV de novo infection, including HBV DNA, pgRNA, HBV RNA, HBsAg, HBeAg, and cccDNA, with EC50 values ranging from 0.002 to 0.52 μM in PHHs and HepG2-NTCP cells[2].
AB-836 (3 days) exhibits broad coverage of HBV genotypes A to H, remains fully active against nucleos(t)ide analog-resistant HBV variants, and demonstrates activity against most core protein variants, with EC50 values ranging from 0.004 to 0.78 μM across tested variants[2].
